The Warriors into the Wild

Author – Erin Hunter
# of pages – 288

Summary – “I am going to win” shouted Firepaw, a fierce apprentice who used to be a Kittypet. Warriors into the Wild is about four clans of wild cats that are fighting over food sources, also called prey. The Twolegs (humans) are building on their territories making food scarce. Most of cats were wounded or killed in battle. Soon all clans get mad and…. You have to read the book to find out what happened.

Recommendation – I gave this book 3.5 stars, and I recommend it to 4th-7th graders. This was an OK book, but a little confusing at times with the number of cats there were described. But overall this book was a good read…

Summary – The Horse and His Boy is the third book in the Narnia series.  Shasta, the main character, is enslaved by a mean fisherman in Caloremen.  Bree, a talking horse from Narnia, helps Shasta escape and together they travel to the free land of Narnia.  This story is about their adventures and journey during their escape to Narnia.  You will have to read The Horse and His Boy to find out what happened to Shasta in the end.

Rating and Recommendation-  I rate this book a five out of five star because it has appropriate word choice, describes items nicely and it is not too scary and not too boring.  3rd-5th graders would like the book, The Horse and His Boy, best.  Also, I think that anyone who starts reading this will never put it down until they’re done reading it.
