Summary-The Magician’s Nephew is a thrilling book that takes place in London. The 2 main characters are Polly and Digory. Digory’s mother will probably die. They get to different worlds using rings. When they visit one world Digory awakens an evil queen named Jadis. In another world they get an apple of youth. with the permission of a lion named Aslan. On the way back, Jadis tries to convince Digory to give the apple to his mother. Read the book to find out what he chooses to do and what happens next in the first book of The Chronicles of Narnia.
Recommendation- I’d give this book a 4 star rating. It was good but the adventure felt too rushed. It would be good for 3-5 graders. There were hard words for 2nd graders and it might be boring for middle schoolers.
